Hold the date - to meet the singing brewer!
Saturday 26 January 2019
You WON'T have been to a Meet the Brewer session like this one.
A selection of four Uley Brewery beers will be available from late afternoon: Laurie Lee, Uley Bitter, Pig's Ear, & Old Spot.
From 7pm you can meet the Head Brewer Ken Lush & others from Uley Brewery to find out more about them and the beers they produce.
At 8pm there will be a 45-60 minute music set with songs performed by Head Brewer Ken himself. (This will be Ken's only set of the evening so don't miss it!)
About Ken Lush:
Ken Lush makes excellent beers. He is also a singer, performer & multi-instrumentalist (mandola, mandocello and guitar) & writes original songs - often sprinkled with a good dose of humour. Here is one that we will certainly want to hear on the night - Ken's original song 'Pubco's' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0meiY15P8FQ
About Uley Brewery:
Brewing at Uley began in 1833 at Price's Brewery. After a long gap, the premises were restored and Uley Brewery opened in 1985. The brewery has its own spring water, which is used to mash with Tuckers Maris Otter malt and boiled with Hereford hops. No sugar or additives are added. Says owner Chas Wright, contrary to the 'decline in cask ales, we have never been busier!' http://www.uleybrewery.com/
This will be a cracking evening so get the date in your diary now!
